How do I withdraw from a course at NYU Wagner?

« Go Back

Information

Answer:

Non-attendance in class does not automatically withdraw students from a course.  To withdraw officially after the Add/Drop period, students must contact Academic Services at wagner.academicservices@nyu.edu. Withdrawing from a course means the course remains on the transcript, but the student is awarded a "W" instead of a grade.

If a student withdraws from a required course, s/he must repeat the course in the next semester it is offered by re-registering and paying the full tuition and fees.  Withdrawing from a course constitutes an attempt at completing the course.  Students are reminded that they are only allowed two attempts at any given course.
