How long does it take to complete the Executive MPA (EMPA) for Public Service Leaders program?

« Go Back

Information

Answer:
Students can complete the EMPA for Public Service Leaders in less than one year.

For example, students in the Saturday schedule option follow a schedule of taking one course over four days in the end of August, four courses in fall, and four courses in spring.

Students in the Evening schedule option can complete the EMPA program in less than one year on a full-time basis, or over the course of two or more years on a part-time basis. Students taking courses in the evening and completing in less than one year enroll in four courses in fall and five courses in spring (or may choose to take the final course in summer). Alternatively, EMPA students who live in New York City and are working full-time typically choose to take two courses each semester, which allows them to complete the program over two years. Note, some elective courses are not offered every semester.
